The Medieval Black Sea Project hosts a variety of academic events showcasing some of the leading voices studying the pre-modern history and culture of the region. These events include:

• A conference on “The Black Sea in the Long Thirteenth Century” (2023-24);
• Medieval Studies Faber Lecture “‘The Greater Sea’: The Black Sea and Medieval Eurasia” (2024)

• Short interviews or “Notes from the Field”.
